Coal is abundant in China. It can be estimated that coal, which is important raw materials for energy and chemical industry, will still take a dominant position in our country's energy structure for a long time. Coal gasification is key technology for IGCC, which is one of the most effectual means of clean and efficient utilization of coal. Entrained-flow gasification technology, as the current state of the art coal gasification technology, has virtues of short reaction time, high efficiency of carbon conversion and uninterrupted working for a long time."Experiment and simulation for pulverized coal gasification under pressure"is selected as the title in this paper. In this paper we use fix-bed reactor thermogravimetric to study the reactivity of buliata-coal char gasification; to find the influence, such as temperature, pressure and so on, that affects coal gasification reaction; to provide references to further theoretical research.Numerical simulation to entrained-flow gasification under pressure is done by using Fluent. We use N2 and CO2 to transfer pulverized coal, to study the temperature field, the velocity field and composition profile in the gasifier, to build a simple reaction model that fits entrained-flow gasification. The step of coal drying and pyrolysis are linked together under pressurized condition. So coal pyrolysis under pressurized condition can be considered as one-step reaction to calculate chemistry dynamics parameter.Pressurized condition increases the CO2 level which increases carbon conversion. But the increasing exists a ceiling under regular temperature.Under gasification atmosphere, reversible reaction and slow reaction such as methane reaction must be considered in numerical simulation. They deeply influence component distribution at the exit of the gasifier.
