In modern manufacturing, numerical control technology level is a measure of the level of manufacturing capacity of a heavy equipment company an important symbol. With the computer technology and machine tool manufacturing technology developing, NC programming and NC machining simulation technology is becoming more and more of NC technology were a very important aspect. It can process through the virtual parts to test the NC program and appear in the actual process may encounter a variety of problems, which can greatly shorten the product development cycle, reduce production costs, improve product quality and production efficiency, and New machines can be used as development tools.This paper is commissioned by an enterprise of Harbin on high pressure cylinders NC programming and simulation systems research, which ultimately gives the high pressure cylinder machining simulation system platform. According to company's product features and the existing manufacturing resources, a new cylinder block machining feature model classes is given. Through the use of the model, when in the design of digital control technology can be characterized according to type of processing to a modular approach to the generation of NC program, which is a good solution to the traditional technology and NC process integration issues. At the same time as the unit of Machining features, using case-based reasoning technology to generate NC program and VERICUT variant three-dimensional dynamic simulation environment, this can not only improves the efficiency of NC programming and quality, but can raise good processing quality of the actual cylinder . NC program can be achieved to a modular design and process design to improve the flexibility of NC and adaptive capacity.VERICUT developed by the United States CGTECH professional is NC machining simulation software, which has a strong three-dimensional process simulation, verification, optimization. VERICUT simulation software can not only live out with the same tools, parts, tools, etc, but also the dynamic movement of the machine tool simulation ministries. Through the simulation of NC machining of large cylinder, we have completed inspection of all possible situations. By AUTO-DIFF module of software, comparing the simulation model and the reality of the design model of over-cutting and under cutting can be processed. VERICUT can be processed on the simulation of cylinder model measurement, and can save the cutting model for testing, and can prepare follow-up machining processes.Through the actual verification, the system platform can greatly improve the internal of the cylinder machining accuracy; it is not only to save a lot of work time and to reduce the demands on the quality of employees. It allows programmers to save a lot of time for other work, to a certain extent; it improves the competitiveness of enterprises.
