| Spiral bevel gears are widely in the intersecting transmission in aerospace, marine, transportation, mining and other mechanical equipment, because of their adbantages, such as great contact ratio, smoothness in transmission, high carrying capacity. As it is complex in its design and manfacturing and difficult in its quality control, presently, the traditional mechanical milling machine tool is gradually replaced by the CNC one. For taking flexible advantages of CNC milling machine tools of spiral bevel gears, based on the new type of modern Free-Form CNC milling machine tool and the local synthesis theory, the double-roll generating on spiral bevel gears is firstly proposed in this dissertation, and a more in-depth and systematic theoretical and experimental research have been done. The main research contents and conclusions of this dissertation are as follows:This dissertation introduced the theory and method of double-roll generating of spiral bevel gears, and showed two kinds of tank and tooth on the double-roll generation and their condition. Based on the design principles of the local synthesis quasi-conjugate tooth surface, the calculation formulas of the machine-tool settings on the double-roll generating of the spiral bevel gears have been derived, and the corresponding computational programs of tooth contact analysis have been developed.Utilizing the gears meshing theory and spatial kinematic geometry, it deduced the tooth surface equations on the members of pinion and gear, using the VC ++ 6.0, the solving program is developed on the coordinates of tooth surface points of spiral bevel gears; after that, a reverse three-dimensional model on the spiral bevel gears is set up by the Pro/E software. By using VERICUT software, the simulation model of multi-axis NC machine tool has been established, and the transformation expression on the parameters of the machine-tool setting between the traditional and CNC generator have been deduced, the CNC program on the double-roll generating has been developed, accordingly the generating simulation has been carried out. On a two-axis CNC milling machine tool, the experiments cutting about spiral bevle gears have been done, and the experiments achieved the expected results to verify the feasibility on the doubl-roll generating method of spiral bevel gears. |
