Analysis Of Ecological Footprint And Ecological Security And Sustainable Development In YongZhou City

To determine the degree of Yongzhou city land utilization sustainable development and find out the problems on land use, this paper studied the ecological security of Yongzhou area. Based on the production situation and national average productivity of 2005 and 2008, this paper come to the results of yield factors and equilibrium factors in the studied area. Then the ecological footprint, ecological carrying capacity, ten thousand Yuan GDP ecological footprint and ecological pressure index can be figured out. According to the results, the state of the land utilization in Yongzhou was analysed and the merits and demerits were point out in the paper. To remedy the defects of the ecological footprint, the paper choosed 22 index to structure the land resource ecological security evaluation index system by using the PSR mode and the time series analysis about ecological security situation during the the year of 2004 to 2008 was made by the method of Analytic Hierarchy Process.The study's major findings:1) The average per person ecological deficit of Yongzhou city in 2005 and 2008 is 0.01 hm2 and 0.11 hm2 respectively, which are lower than the global average ecological deficit standard, which is about 0.4hm2. Generally speaking the development of land utilization is sustainable in the world.2) The ecological security comprehensive index was 0.6964 in 2004 in YongZhou city, which indicate that the ecological safety was moderate and in the initial sustainability stage. And the index of the rest of the year,2005-2008, were 0.7173,0.7302,0.7647and0.7863 respectively. It shows that the level of the safety was on the rise.
