The drawworks is an important component of the rig. Under the action of the drawworks,drilling tools can be several kilometers or even meters into the deep and drilling tools can be removed.The drawworks can process the underground accidents in the timely.This paper is JC-70 variable frequency electric drive drawworks axis design and calculation.Beginning of this paper describes the design of the purpose and significance of the drawworks,then the main components of the drawworks of choice. On each axis, the larger force gears and bearings were checked. And useing the software,the important force components were analyzed on the finite element analysis.Finally,dynamic braking of motor control were be designed,including the disign of the motor starting and braking.Through the design and calculation of the drawworks, JC-70 Single variable frequency electric drive has many advantages can be seen. For example,light weight,adjustment range, rational structure,low noise, vibration, strong braking performance,design of high strength, safe and reliable.
