2160 hot rolling line of a domestic steel possesses the technical equipment in the international top-class level, and its rolling mill equipment possesses advanced adjusting systems and efficient rolling process models. But since the starting of the production line, the problem of plate shape has not been better solved, recently the default of camber of blocks during slab rolling is on the rise, not only impact the quality of hot rolled strip seriously, but also have great effect on the subsequent cold rolling and cause unnecessary economic loss.There are many reasons causing the camber, and the main reasons are up-down asymmetry factors during the rolling process, such as the initial wedge of the slab, temperature uniformity along width direction, side-guide alignment, rigidity difference and the like. Simultaneously, processing parameters, such as temperature and size of strip steel can also affect the camber degrees during the rolling process. During the practical rolling process, these factors are usually mixed, therefore, the regulation of the camber of strip steel becomes more complex. In the paper, the main factors affecting the camber of strip steel are deeply analyzed, and the main research contents are as follows:(1) The mechanism on the. influence to the camber of initial slab wedge.That is to analysis the influence to the camber of initial slab wedge, through the change of thickness and width.(2) The mechanism on the. influence to the camber of temperature uniformity along width direction.That is to analysis the verified of camber in the influence of temperature uniformity along width direction.By adopting ABAQUS finite element software, the models or rough rolling process with initial slab wedge and temperature uniformity along width direction has been established. The results show that, the wedge of slab effects the camber value obviously. In a fixed reduction, the camber value decreases with the thickness going up, While, it increases with the width rising. And then the regulations of the influences rule of the above influencing factors to the camber of strip steel had been analysised. The influences of equivalent stress in a deformation zone, equivalent strain distribution rule have been mainly analyzed. The wedge value and camber value are linear. In defferent conditions of the wedge value, the differences of equivalent stress distribution rule of each node are minimal. In a fixed reduction, the increase of temperature uniformity along width direction manified the camber value.In the deformation zone, the equivalent stress decrease in the area of high temperature.
