Computer technology develops rapidly in modern times, especially for the applications of computer graphics technology in science and life which are being more and more. However, the applications for mines are still in relatively slow development. In order to take full advantage of existing computer graphics techniques, it is necessary to study how to apply this technology to make a more vivid, in-depth and detailed description which is related to the mining development problems. This thesis firstly analyzes the recent status of three-dimensional visualization technology development, as well as the state of exiting research and the application of this technology applied in mining. It points out the necessity and significance to study the three-dimensional visualization about mine. It discusses about how to use VC and OpenGL to simulate three-dimensional image of mine scenes vivid and specific so that make the problem of mines three-dimensional visualization realized, which helps people with different knowledge structure to understand and communicate the problem about mine and deepens the people's understanding about mine. Improving the safety in mine production capacity and production efficiency is the main direction which the modern mining science and technology is aimed at. The three dimensional research about simulating mine scene has the vital significance for this.According to the guidelines from easy to difficult, this thesis choose some simple and important mine scene three-dimensional simulation as search emphasis. After having solved these basic problems, the complex scene simulate function can be realized through combination and splice. This thesis focuses on the main features analysis about the mine scene, and then builds the base data structure of three-dimensional simulation by these features. Some simple three-dimensional simulation effects of mine scene are realized by programming, and part simulation of the scene that over and under the shaft is achieved. In order to improve the running speed, the visual field volume clipping algorithm is used. In order to achieve the ease use of the software operation, the build building blocks way is applied to build the mine scene. The mine scene is decomposed into independent individual components. According to the spatial location, the simulation is divided into two categories that over and under the shaft, and the simulation is divided into complex simulation and simple simulation depending on the complexity of the scene simulation. The scene of the mine is separated into single component, which is contributed to the free to build and is helpful to quickly achieve the three-dimensional mine scene simulation effect. About the editing function of the mine scene simulation software, you can easily load the model, change its location, size and other properties, and set the software to be automatic roaming mode or interactive roaming mode. This mine three-dimensional simulation software can guide the mine produce and rehearsal simulation in some extent. In the process of writing software, the main problems and solutions are recorded and summarized about developing the three-dimensional visualization software for the mine scene, and a systematic analysis and summary are done in the end, which are about what has been done in this thesis.
