In this paper, the coagulation sedimentation and Fenton oxidation used to treat paper making wastewater are analyzed. In the research, the effects of coagulant type, coagulant dosage, pH, assistant coagulant dosage on the result of pre-coagulation treatment are inspected, and the effects of H2O2 dosage, pH, nFe2+/nH2O2, reacting time and other factors on the Fenton reagents oxidation treatment result are inspected. Finally, orthogonal experiments are used to determine the best values of the factors in Fenton oxidation processing units. The results indicated that:(1) With the increase of coagulant dosage, the removal efficiency of COD or chroma showed an increasing tendency.(2) The coagulation sedimentation system was operated as an efficient treatment system when the n (Si):n (Al):n (Fe) ratio was controlled at 1:1:3 resulting in highest average removal rates of both COD and chroma when the dosage of coagulators is 300mg/L.(3) The optimum operating conditions for Fenton oxidation is that the dosage of COD is 600 mg/L, the effluent from the pre-mixed processing is used for influent in Fenton oxidation without dilution.(4) The H2O2 dosage, pH, nFe2+/nH2O2, reacting time have great effect on the Fenton reagents oxidation treatment result. The major and minor relationship: H2O2>pH> nFe2+/nH2O2> reaction time.(5) The optimum operating conditions for Fenton reagents oxidation is that the dosage of H2O2 is 40 mL/L, the pH is 4, the dosage of FeSO4 is 80mL/L and the reacting time is in 60min around. The above results prove that coagulation and Fenton oxidation and flocculation process is an efficient process of paper making wastewater treatment. However, according this inclusion, a few of reasonable suggests are offered to reduce the cost of the paper making wastewater treatment.
