The corn spermoderm is one of the main by-products of corn processing industry. At present, they are used in the feed industry or discarded naturally. So most of resources were wasted, the added value was low and environment was polluted. In 2008, corn consumption of our country was 1.446 hundreds million tons, feed consumption was 9600 pan-tons, industrial consumption was 3750 pan-tons, which was 25.93% of total amount of the corn. So predictably there is a great deal of corn spermoderms every year. The principal constituent of the corn spermoderms is the dietary fiber which has some important physiological functions, such as weight reduction, alvo adstricta precaution, falling the blood fats, reducing the cholesterol and so on. In this study, the physiologic functional characteristics and micromeritics properties of corn spermoderm dietary fiber of different particle size which were cleaned, skimed miscellaneous off, extrusion modified in high temperature and fine crushed. Then the best formula of corn dietary fiber Tablet was determined by Response Surface Analysis (RSA).Currently on the market dietary fiber is applied mainly by powder. It was inconvenient to be used as nutrient supplement in packaging, storage, transportation, and eating. So this research is to explore the best formula to prepare corn dietary fiber Tablet with corn dietary fiber as main raw materials, which provided new ideas for application of the corn spermoderm dietary fiber to health food. This study will not only supply theoretical foundation for research of its correlation field, but also expand market for its application field and promote the further development of corn processing industry. Main results of the research are as follows:The physiological function is related to its physicochemical property. In the study, expansibility, water holding, oil holding capacity, cholesterol adsorption capacity, NO2- adsorption capacity and the cation exchange capacity were determined. The result was as follows:when the particle-size was 0.096 mm, the physicochemical properties were in the best level. At this time water holding was 4.97 g/g, expansibility was 5.29 ml/g, oil holding capacity was 1.792 g/g, the cholesterol adsorption capacity of Corn spermoderm Dietary Fiber in PH=2 was 50μg/g and was 394.961μg/g in PH=7, the NO2- adsorption capacity of Corn spermoderm Dietary Fiber in PH=2 was 15.29μg/g and was 0.942μg/g in PH=7, and cation exchange capacity was best.The study of micromeritics properties is the rational of pharmaceutics. micromeritics properties can instruct formulating of recipe, Tablet product, quality control and package. In the study the density, flowability and hydroscopicity were studied. The result showed that when the grain diameter of corn spermoderm dietary fiber was 0.096mm, the bulk density was 0.3405g/ml, tap density was 0.4555g/ml, compressibility was 25.25%, flow rate was 2.97g/s, and angle of repose was 43.38°. At this time, appearance of distribution was diversificater, and had lest hygroscopicity.The best formula of Tablet was determined with pressure, Microcrystalline Cellulose, sodium carboxymethy starch as independent variables, calcium hardness as consideration index in the base of single factor tests. Response Surface Analysis (RSA) was applied to optimize the formula according to the central composite experimental design principles through Design-expert7.1.6. The result showed that the lowest friability was 0.739%, and shortest disintegration time was80.5s when the corn spermoderm dietary fiber was 67.4%, Microcrystalline Cellulose quantity was 15.9%, the Pregelatinized Starch quantity was 16.2%, the Magnesium Stearate quantity was 0.5%, diameter of the Tablet was 20mm, the pressure was 20MPa. At this time, Tablets has smooth surface and can not easily break.The determine of critical relative humidity Hybrid show that this optimal production environment humidity of the products is 78.51%.
