Mandrel graphite lubrication and preparation system is an important equipment used in seamless steel pipe rolling line, which spraying special graphite based lubricant on the mandrel to obtain a dense, well-distributed and dry lubricant layer. For the reason of well condition of rolling and rolling off, the function of this system is to be designed to reduce the friction coefficient between mandrel and steel pipe, which can improve inner surface of pipe, increase life-time of mandrel and reduce rolling power consume and accident happened probability.Purpose of this paper is to design a mandrel graphite lubrication and preparation system to achieve well-spraying and high produce efficiency. Main contents of this paper as below:In the first chapter, there summarized the application of mandrel graphite lubrication and preparation system as an important equipment in seamless steel pipe rolling line. There analyzed status and exist problem of this system, and put forward main study contents in this paper.In the second chapter, there is the overall design of the system, main completed key mechanism design and electrical control system design. This paper analysed factors affected spaying result from working technics process, and then put forward corresponding relevant improvement method.In the third chapter, there study out pneumatic circuit and detail design of the spraying system. For the reason to prevent "Pressure Fluctuation" in this system, there adopt proportional relief valve to adjust pressostat to ensure the stable working pressure of the nozzle, and designed hydraulic control system.In the fourth chapter, there study out control system of the mandrel lubrication system, and finished hardware modules selection and software program by Step7. There also realized communication between host computer and PLC by the way of PROFIBUS-DP protocal, finished interface design by the way of WinCC.In the fifth chapter, there is the numerical simulation of nozzle process by software Fluent. There analysed working pressure, diameter of nozzle, spraying angle influence the spray effect. For setting up reasonable work pressure and nozzle parameters selection provided theory basis.At last, it generalized finished work in this paper and prospected the more required point of the system.
