Cellulose is the most abundant renewable carbon resource in the earth, and plays an important role in the production of bioenergy. Degradation of cellulosic to glucose through physical, chemical or biological methods has great importance, since sugars can serve as raw materials in a number of biotechnological production processes, such as,the ethanol, lactic acid.Enzymatic hydrolysis has received attention due to its potential as an environmentally friendly process. Thus, the cellulase production is vital to the utilization of renewable sources. In this study,we mainly focuses on medium optimization of cellulase production by the culture medium by Trichoderma reesei with cheap renewal sources.Firstly, the effects of soybean powder, corn cob, steep sliquor, wheat bran on cellulase production was evaluated using one factor at a time. Soybean powder, corn cob, steep sliquor had positive effects on cellulase production.Secondly, the optimal concentrations of soybean powder, corn cob, corn stove were determined by a central compostion design and response surface analysis. After these optimizations, the cellulase production achieved in 13.7IU/mL in the flask cultivation. The effect of corn cob hydrolyzed by dilute acid on cellulose production was also evaluated. The result indicated that the hydrolyzed corn cob residue had bad effects on both the cellulose formationm and cellular morphology. Scale up of the production in 5L bioreactor was conducted.
