Petrochemical production plant safety assessment is currently one of the hot research topics at home and abroad. Based on the shortage of safety assessment method for ethylene plants in our country, this thesis established a comprehensive evaluation system of ethylene plant safety management. The main research work and conclusions are as follows:(1) In the system analysis and summary of the main problems of comprehensive safety evaluation technology in petrochemical plant, according to the safety management practice of Chinese large petrochemical plant, we introduced Dupont safety management idea of the advanced international evaluation method,And then two first-order indexes,20 secondary indexes,66 third stage indexes were put forward from two aspects of process safety management and behavior safety management. Finally, the petrochemical equipment safety comprehensive evaluation index system with ethylene plant was established.(2) The deterministic weight method was put forward through the combination of expert investigation and ternary interval number theory. By using the security experts scoring evaluation method, the index weight at the bottom was first evaluated. At the top-level, the ultimate weight coefficient was evaluated by using the ternary interval number theory method. It has been proved that, the combination of the two methods can achieve the purpose of complementary advantages and get more objective weights. The various factors can thus better reflect the current safety management situation in a ethylene plant.(3) The safety fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model was established through combining the set theory of ethylene plant safety management. By using three-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the evaluation was performed from ground floor index. Finally the fuzzy comprehensive index was evaluated. By comparing the layered evaluation results between the digital evaluation with Dupont text descriptions, the finally results show that the comprehensive evaluation model calculation results and Dupont evaluation results are consistent. Verify the ethylene plant safety comprehensive assessment method is effective.
