Water is the source of life, the blood of industrial, the lifeblood of agriculture. Water is the fundamental natural resource and the strategic economic resource. However, with the industrialization and the urbanization to speed up, and the world is facing the serious challenges of water shortage and pollution. At present, the technology of EM is widely used in aquatic,breeding and environmental in many countries, and it has achieved remarkable results. But in China, this technology is just in study stage. In this paper, we combined the EM technology with A2/O integration hybrid membrane bioreactor for treating sewage. With the quantity of EM,hydraulic retention time,the time and the way of aerate as the main control condition, three factors of three levels orthogonal experiment was established, the intention of this study was to master the shortest start-up time to explore the optimal operating parameters and the effect of each factor to the process start-up. And we want to know the best effect of sewage treatment when this process goes to normal. The test results are as follow:1,EM can strengthen the biological role, short of the start-up time A2/O integration hybrid membrane bioreactor obviously. The average start-up time is just 12.6 days about half of the traditional biological treatment.2,Through orthogonal test, in the start-up of using EM technology in A2/O integration hybrid membrane bioreactor, the primary sequence of effect to start-up is: the quantity of adding EM>HRT>the way and the time of aeration. And the optimal operating parameters is add the quantity of EM 15g/2d,hydraulic retention time is 16h and the time and the way of aerate is run 1h stay 1h.3,The effect of biological treatment construct by EM technology to treat the simulation sewage is very well. the average concentration of COD,TN and NH4+-N were 23mg/l,7mg/l and 8mg/l. The average COD,TN,NH4+-N and TP removal percent were as high as 95%,83%,88% and 93%,the removal effect of this indices had also achieved "Cities Sewage Treatment Plant Pollutant Discharged Standard" (GB 18918-2002) the center one levels A to discharge the standard.
