The support equipment mainly refers to the supporting tools which designed and manufactured to maintain roof, roadway secure in the process of underground mining. It can not only play a supporting role in safety, but also can greatly improve the safety of operating environment, reduce the intensity of labor to achieve the purposes of high efficiency and low consumption, which is of great significance to improve the economic and social benefits in the coal mine. According to the support time, the type of support can be divided into permanent and temporary support. This paper refers to the temporary support, which is prior to the permanent support, to maintain surrounding and working face stability and security temporarily in support.Many of the civil coal mines are accelerating the pace of mechanize driving, the research of mechanized excavation is also penetrating deeply, and there have been many mechanized mining equipment on the market, but there are still existing many of blasting coal mines. The support form is backward in these blasting coal mines, especially before erecting the permanent support, the coal miner have to roof work, that is a great threat to the coalminers, so designing a simple temporary support equipment has been becoming very urgent. This support for the tunnel roof, considering mining hydraulic support for the reference, combining with the features of the machine-loading temporary support, is simple and safe temporary support equipment. Use the PRO/E software, we establish the main carrying beam, rack, column and jack, and then we assemble the temporary support in PRO/E assembly environment. Then we switch the assembly to the kinematics simulation environment, check the temporary support device whether is existing movement interference problems, and kinematics simulation in PRO/E simulation environment. And then we use the interface program by PRO/E software and ANSYS software, import the model into ANSYS software, set the parameters, load and get the solution, then analyze the results whether consistent with the strength requirements of practical work. We can modify the design size of the temporary support In PRO/E, analyze the strength of the temporary support in different steel thickness and pressure set by relief valve, through analysis, to find the optimal design that meet the actual demand.In last part, the model of the temporary support is made. With the existing conditions we identify shortage in test and improve it in future.
