The construction brick toy is a popular educational toy. Children usually use construction bricks to simulate the scenes of life in elder age. With the development of the times, these toys have also been given a broader significance, and many of them were used as inspiration not only for children's intellectual improvement, but also helping people understand complex electronic systems, inspire creativity and imagination. The rapid development of information age makes a great convenience for people's lives. We live in an era of unprecedented openness, Thanks to the Internet, the way to exchange information, obtain knowledge becomes quite easy. Rapid development of digital products makes unimaginable substances come into reality one by one. The development of both software and hardware, such as mobile phones, computers, digital cameras, has a great affect in people's daily life, but most people get confused about those elusive integration of electronic bricks and don't know how they work. How to help children by constructing electronic bricks to understand the technical products and how to use these construction bricks to achieve their design ideas is the focus of this research. This research is based on the cooperate program between interactive design studio in School of Design, Jiangnan University and Bit-Lab of Wuxi Arixin Electronic Co. Ltd. The first two chapters of the paper are aim to take the research of relevant market background, and the evolution of building blocks. The third chapter discusses the definition and valuation of interactive construction bricks, then summaries the design methods. The fourth chapter describes the development of Bit-Lab by illustrating the construction of Bit-Lab from the perspective of design, analyzing the needs of target users from the perspective of design and psychology and tabling a proposal of system design methods and practical development direction. Chapter V includes two design practices, they are the proposed design concept for Bit-Lab.
