According to the auto-motor industry development, the requirements of vehicle performance and safety are getting higher. On the other hand, it was caused of the environment protection and energy saving that the car was required lower and lower oil rate. So we must to face how to get a safety car thought a simple construction which resulting of a lighter vehicle body in our new vehicle design. This paper deeply studied how to simplify construction, lighten weight and get a good strength front door assembly.Based on the production practice, this paper studied the door skin panel stamping deforming technology and process by using new manufacturing method and skill. It include all the study of skin panel sculpt, material, stamping process, assembly construction and welding process, and then raise up the result to improve the door assembly strength.The skin panel sculpt was decided by production and can not be changed. As we know, the DC04 steel sheet of Boa-Steel have a good performance, the door skin panel use DC04 0.7 mm thickness steel sheet. The CAE deforming analyze using Auto-Form was done by the specialist and form supplier. It shows deforming status of different area and material flowing status, based on it, the stamping process and die sets was adjusted and modified to improving the assembly strength. More control was put on the welding process to get a good gap between the skin panel and its bracket. During the study, adjustment on the bracket size and welding location also has done.All of this study and improvement result of a good strength door assembly.
