Abstract/Summary:
In this thesis, the research progress of controlled synthesis of monodisperse nanocrystals was summaried and reviewed. We carried out the synthesis of Ag and anatase TiO2 nanocrystals, the study of their self-assembled properties, and a preliminary exploration of the synthesis and optical response characteristics of Ag/TiO2 binary superlattices.Firstly, we have studied the influence of solvents, surfactants and the concentration of AgN03 on the morphology and self-assembled property of Ag through chemical reduction. This thesis successfully synthesised of Ag spherical nanoparticles with good monodispersity and excellent self-assembled property, which would lay a solid foundation for the synthesis of Ag and superlattices.Secondly, we have adopted a unique high-temperature solvothermal route to study the influence of surfactants and time on the morphology of TiO2. The formation mechanism of self-assembly superlattices were also discucced in the thesis. We successfully synthesised of self-assembly superlattices on the basis of the control of nucleation and growth processes of TiO2, which may have great contributions for exploring new materials. Finally, Ag/TiO2 nanocomposites have been prepared through physical blend, light reduction and chemical reduction. This thesis would also discuss the formation mechanism of phase-separated and short-range order structure of Ag and TiO2. The Ag/TiO2 nanocomposite thin films can shift the optical absorption edge of TiO2 from UV to the visible range. The introduction of Ag would enhance the visible photocatalytic activities of TiO2. All of these may have great importance for the design and exploration of binary superlattice and its potential performance.
