The Color Representation And Emotional Expression Of Jewelries

For jewelries, color is a special visual element which attracts people's attention instantly. Besides that, the color of jewelries also has the tendency of human nature, jewelries of different colors enlightens our imaginations and feelings in different ways. Therefore, as one of the most important elements of jewelry design, color has become the most attractive tool and irreplaceable method of emotional expression. Based on the unique features mentioned above, that this thesis selects the Colors of Jewelries as the main research objective. Based on the type of current jewelry, the author will summarize the types and development process of jewelry, together with analyzing the regionalism and culture value. Meanwhile, the thesis combines related data of color psychology to study the emotion expression of jewelry color, and explores the space in the color performance of modern jewelry.This paper can be divided into six parts and they are as follows:Part I:Introduction. Introducing the thesis statement, significance of the paper, and the main research methods.Part II:Introducing the types of jewelries color and the development process mainly from the meaning, type and development process of jewelry color to analysis the thesis statement, also revealing the factors which impact on jewelry color performance.Part III:The regionalism and culture nature. By analyzing reasons of jewelry color discovered in Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and Oceania; find out the styles and characteristics from each continent, in order to explore the regional and cultural factors.Part IV:The emotional expression of jewelry color. Analyzing the expression way of jewelries color, discussing the common or unique characteristics of jewelries color by combining the theory of color psychology.Part V:The space for expression of modern jewelry color. By combining the drawing expression, position, mixing mode, the shapes and craft on display of modern jewelries color to briefly discuss the development trends.Part VI:Conclusion. Summarizing the main ideas and restating the outstanding points of the paper.
