Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) is a kind of important perfluorinated surfactants and an important precursor for many perfluorochemicals synthesis. As the major active constituent in water-proof and oil-repellant agent on the treatment of fabrics, leather and indoor decoration products, PFOS was widely used in industrial and consumer goods production field. It has high stability, which can endure strong heating, lighting, chemistry, microbial function and higher vertebrates metabolism. It has high bio-accumulative and various toxic, which can not only cause human respiratory system, but also lead to the new-born baby death, fat metabolic disorder, energy metabolism disturbance and children's normal ossification delay. Currently, PFOS has been listed as one of the hardest one of degraded persistent organic pollutants.In order to curb the Pollution of PFOS, the European Union(EU), the United States, Canada, Sweden and other developed countries have enacted laws and regulations. PFOS director of EU which has taken effect on June 27,2008, has become another technical barrier in china's textiles export after banning azo dyes and polychlorinated biphenyls. The research on PFOS detecting technology and methods has received increasing broad attention and regards.In this paper, two kinds of PFOS monomer (Perfluorooctane sulfonamide and N-ethyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide) were chosen as the research object according to frequently-used perfluorinated surfactants in textiles. PFOS was analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS).In sample pretreatment research, the extraction method of PFOS in the textiles has been studied. Ultrasonic extraction has good extraction effect. The best extraction conditions were ensured through using extractants screening experiment, orthogonal design and simple factor design experiments.In the detection method research, GC/MS method was selected to analyze two kinds of PFOS monomers. PFOS was qualitative analysis by using the retention time and characteristic ion. The external standard method was employed for quantitative analysis of PFOS. On the basis of systematically comparing the detection effect on different polarity column, two kinds of target compounds have been detected by using the DB-1701 column and separated effectively by optimizing the parameters of instrument.The research result indicated that the recoveries of spiked samples were 73~110%, the linear equation of perfluorooctane sulfonamide and N-ethyl perfluorooctane sulfonamide were Y= 40976.9X-41187.6 and Y=310475.8X-153878.4 separately; the linear range was at 0.1μg/mL~50μg/mL; the correlation coefficient were 0.9989 and 0.9995 separately; the detection limits of method were 0.0044μg/mL and 0.0021μg/mL separately; the precisions were less than 10%. In addition, the peak area value has been changed little, the retention time is stable. It illustrated the method was sensitive, rapid with high recovery which could be used for the determination of the content of PFOS in textiles. |
