Warehousing system as an important node in the modern logistics and supply chain system, its achievement in information technology, networking, and automation has significant meaning in logistics management. Especially with the development of the social economic and the improvement of people's living standards, there are increasing demands for the types and quantities of environmentally sensitive goods, such as meat, dairy products, and flowers, etc. The requirements of warehousing environments which are used to store these goods are becoming increasingly improved. The application into warehousing system of the new science and technology to build intelligent warehousing environmental monitoring system is of great significance.WSN, which merge computer technology, sensor technology and communication technology together, realizes the real unity of information collection, information transmission and information processing. It is considered one of the most important technologies in 21st century. As the improvement of computing technology, microelectronics and wireless communications technology, wireless sensor networks has rapidly developed. WSN can be used for environmental and equipment situation monitoring, security early warning, disaster relief and other aspects , due to its advantages of low power, low cost, distributed monitoring, ad hoc networks and no need of fixed infrastructure support, etc..Traditional warehousing environmental monitoring systems have a lot of disadvantages such as too many devices in the warehouse, wiring complexity, low reliability, high cost of management and maintenance. Wireless sensor networks used in warehouse environment monitoring, can effectively address these issues and meet the distributed monitoring needs of several environmental parameters such as the temperature, humidity, air composition etc., to achieve intelligent warehousing environmental monitoring.This paper uses the application of wireless sensor networks technology in the warehousing environment monitoring system as the main line, and mainly studies several key technologies in the warehousing environmental monitoring system based on WSN, including the node deployment, MAC protocols, routing protocols and data fusion and so on. The node deployment is the first problem to be solved in WSN applications into warehousing environmental monitoring; a reasonable strategy for the deployment can be optimized allocation of resources of WSN. This paper focuses on the node deployment technology in WSN-based warehousing environmental monitoring system, using three-dimensional grid generation method, presents two specific nodes deployment strategies for rectangular three-dimensional warehouse.The research in this paper not only does the theory research and study on the key technologies in the application of wireless sensor networks in warehousing environmental monitoring, but also presents operable nodes deployment strategies for the engineering application of WSN in the warehousing environmental monitoring system.
