Supercritical Fluid Dyeing (SFD) dosn't use water but supercritical CO2 as the medium earring the dyestuff. SFD puts an end to the disadvantages such as huge amount of water consumption and the environmental pollution, which are resulted by traditional water dyeing. At the same time, the production efficiency is increased by this new dyeing method. But SFD is still in the laboratory and needs new process development and equipment development. The main work of this paper is to design dyeing autoclave which is the key equipment of dyeing device. The following are the main contents of this work.A set of dyeing autoclave with quick closure function is designed by ASME VIII-2 code and JIS 8284-1993 standard, and is checked by fatigue strength assessment.The dyeing autoclave is Simulated under operating condition using ABAQUS software, Simulation result is compared with caculation result.According to standard manual, the obturating ring assembly is designed, which consists of an O-ring and a copper ring. the geometry of the copper ring's section is optimized by FEA method.The screw thread connection between flange and cylinder is chosen, and the stress of screw thread is checked.
