The synthesis and applied performance of new antifoulants containing polyatomic phenol were investigated in this paper. The structures of the products above were confirmed by analytical instruments,such as IR spectroscopy,1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. The recycle of filtrate was used to reduce environmental pollution and increase the monomers'yields,in purpose of optimizing the synthetic conditions ultimately. The detailed research contents and results were summarized as follows:(1) A series of novel monomers having polyatomic phenol were designed and successfully synthesized by the Friedel-Crafts alkylation of some active substituted polyatomic phenols containing different functions with N-hydroxymethyl acrylamide. Seven of the compounds having polyatomic phenol are as follows: N-(5-acrylamide-2,4-dihydroxymethylbenzyl)acrylamide(AHMA), N-(3,5-diacrylamidemethyl-2-hydroxy-6-methylbenzyl)acrylamide(AMHMA), N-(3,5-diacrylamide-2,4,6-trihydroxymethylbenzyl)acrylamide(AHBA), N-(5-acrylamide-2,3,4-trihydroxymethylbenzyl)acrylamide(AHMBA), N-(4-hydroxy-3-methylbenzyl)acrylamide(HMOBA), N-(3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl)acrylamide(BMA), N-(4-hydroxy-5-methylthio-2-methylbenzyl)acrylamide(HMMBA).And all above,four of which were new compounds,were characterized by FT-IR and NMR. So results showed that the designed target compounds were synthesized successfully.(2) synthetic conditions of HMOBA was optimized through the recycle of filtrate,which could reduce the discharge of waste liquid,but also increase the target compounds'yields. Pilot test of HMOBA was progressed preliminarily,favourable anticipated results could lay a foundation for subsequent industrialization.(3) Some factors such as catalyzer system,the molar ratio of reactants,reaction time,dosage of catalyzer,the solvents,initial concentration and recycle of filtrate,which have influence on the yields of HMOBA,AMHMA and BMA,were investigated respectively.(4) The resins which contain polyatomic phenol were synthesized using the antifoulants having polyatomic phenol as functional monomers and AIBN as initiator to copolymerize with acrylic monomer and self-polymerize itself,and were characterized by FT-IR and TG.
