The spherical titanium alloy container is the key part to control the attitude of missile, and its performance will directly affect the precision of weapon products. The requirement of attitude control has becoming more stricter with the development of missile weapon system to wide range, high Mach number, high maneuverability, light in weight and high velocity. It is valuable for the future products to be more efficient and energy-saving without affecting the quality in the long run. This thesis mainly researches and analyzes on respective process of Auto-TIG welding method in spherical titanium container formulation through titanium alloy test plate with the thickness of 7.5mm.After the systematic analysis, a front and back weldseam gas shielded equipment tooling is designed based on the condition of the factory. At the same time welding test is performed with titanium alloy test plate, 7.5mm in thickness. The thesis initially identifies the product to apply U-groove, the increased thickness of 0.8mm at both ends of hemispheric body and the molding welding parameters are: welding current: 275A-285A; Arc voltage: 10V ~ 11V; welding speed: 135mm/min-140 mm / min ; torch shielding gas flow rate: 16L/min; positive shielding gas flow rate: 24 L / min; negative shielding gas flow rate: 9 L / min of welding process method.In order to enhance and validate the test results, welding tests using industry cylinders and titanium alloy hemisphere is applied. After the corresponding non-destructive and mechanical performance test, it is fully proved that using the automatic TIG welding forming program to weld spherical titanium cylinder is feasible.
