Laser quenching technology is a high and new technology. Compared with the traditional methods of quenching, it has a lot of advantages, such as high precision, small deformation, no pollution, little noise, so it is applied to steamboat, automotive, lots of production department. Through the theory research about laser quenching, to get the uniform hardened layer, three conditions should be satisfied. The three conditions as follows: First, the defocus capacity should be kept not changeable; Second, the laser beam should incidence along the normal of the surface of the workpiece; Last, the scanning velocity of the laser spot on the surface of the workpiece is supposed to keep invariableness.The current numerical control system is designed for the numerical control process of machine components, so it's not satisfied for the basic requirements of laser quenching. According to the machining demand of laser quenching, to solve the laser quenching of parts with complicated contour, it's necessary to develop the CAD/CAM system for laser quenching technology.This system is a huge system, so the key technologies of CAD system for laser CAD/CAM system are researched. Discuss the total design of system, the way of express and drawing of graphic. Illustrate the algorithm of the curve. Analyze the data structure that the system adopts. Debate the principle and the method of graphic selection and compiling. Discuss the interface technology of DXF. Introduce the design method of the grain of laser processing. On the basis of these, the friendly human-computer interface is designed. At the same time, to accelerate the drawing speed and efficiency, the idea of parametric design is introduced, and the key technology namely geometry constraint is analyzed.Based on the module design ideas, through adopting the object-oriented design method, using the development tool delphi7 and the foundation classes, the system is developed in the WindowsXP condition. The modules of graphics design, edit, equally divide are satisfied to design requirement of graphics. Parametric figure storage system that is convenient for user to select the graphics is developed. Selecting the example of figure storage system, inputting the relevant parameter, get the expected graphic.The two-dimensional graphics formed by the CAD system is regard as the targets of the CAM. The quality of the drawing directly influences the quality and precision of process. This system makes good foundation for CAM system. The surface of the system is friend and has a certain practicality. It's operated easily. At the same time, it can reduce the cost and the time of the enterprises on the training of staff.
