| The preshaving hob is an important tool in pre-shaving. The gear accuracy to be machined is affected directly by the preshaving hob accuracy, and affect the accuracy of gear shaving processing further. The service performance of preshaving hob is affected directly by grinding wheel quality. So it is an important research topic how to design the profile of grinding wheel of the preshaving hob.This topic comes from technical research projects of a famous tools company in china. The practical engineering drawings were used as original basis to design and calculate. Through addendum transition arc segment, addendum non-working line segment, working line segment, dedendum non-working line segment, dedendum transition arc segment were calculated respectively in normal profile of the preshaving hob, each point of coordinate value and derivative value were obtained to compose normal profile of the preshaving hob, which laid a foundation to design on grinding wheel. The gear hobbing model that known conditions were normal profile of the cutter was established in this paper. The relationship between normal profile of the cutter and gear profile was established, which provides theoretical foundation to judge whether the preshaving hob meet the hobbing processing accuracy or not by the gear profile to be machined in hobbing. The obtained normal profile of the preshaving could be used as a reference for calculated the profile of grinding wheel of the preshaving hob. The profile of grinding wheel of the preshaving hob was calculated in envelope method, according to movement geometry relationship of hobbing processing. Finally, the obtained profile of grinding wheel of the preshaving hob could be used as original stool surface to calculate normal profile of the preshaving hob in the same conditions, and errors value is given, which proved that the calculation of the profile of grinding wheel of the preshaving hob is accurate and that the errors is less than 0.01mm in 3o regrinding position of side shovel surface. |
