The plant floating-bed technology is one kind of water ecology home position repair technology, because it is economical and practical, non-environmental risk, non-secondary pollution, in recent years it has received wide attention of academic circles.At present the academic circles is often centralized to the improvement of plant floating-bed process, through comparison, choosing those processes which has better water treatment efficiency. Because tests often aim at the specific water body to carry on, the process chosen out is always not suitable for other water bodies, its primary cause lies to we lack clear understanding on the inherent mechanism how the artificial floating-bed remove nitrogen, phosphorus or another pollutant. This research devotes to eliminating this bottleneck which restricts the plant floating-bed process design's further development. We hope it has reference value on the standardization of the plant floating-bed systems'design in the future.Based on the earlier period research's foundation, we take Lin Jiang River in Chongqing as an example, carried on the experimental study on plant floating-bed technology treat the heavily polluted river water. The main study contents and achievements were as follows.①We determined plant, coverage rate of floating-bed, hydraulic loading, influent concentration of pollutants and temperature are factors which can influence plant floating-bed system's water treatment effect.②We Analysis the total nitrogen elimination effect and mechanism, obtain the windmill grass floating-bed system total nitrogen weaken mathematical model, the contribution of each total nitrogen elimination way is: the plant assimilation absorption 42.8%, the microorganism denitrification 52.8%, the precipitation 4.4%.③We discuss the total phosphorus elimination effect and mechanism, establish windmill grass floating-bed system's water body phosphorus element material balance equation. After computation, the contribution of each total phosphorus elimination way, the root system interception adsorption and plant assimilation absorption bigger than 90%, the precipitation smaller than 10%.④We discuss the water body dissolution oxygen balance equation, establish windmill grass floating-bed system's dissolved oxygen balance equation, the test obtains the speed of windmill grass floating-bed photosynthesis secrete oxygen is 100.277mg/d·m~2, the speed of breath consume oxygen is 931.109 mg/d·m~2.
