As a major foundation energy, coal industry plays an important role in our country's economy. In recent years, the situation of safety in production of the colliery have been improved in China, but the accidents happen occasionally with the adverse working conditions and the influence of the natural disaster. The situation of safety in production for coal mine is rather critical. Now, air flow and air pressure measuring devices have not been installed for most of mine local fans. So the systematical management of the mine local fans could not be easily realized.Based on the mass literature materials and according to the structural characteristics of the diffuser tube, the paper design a real-time monitoring system of air flow and air pressure which suitable for almost all types of mine local fans. MSP430149 single chip microcomputer as the core control which produced by TI. The hardware designing of the system could be greatly reduced by plenty of peripherals on chip which also could improve system reliability. Static pressure signals of the static ring which is installed on the each side of the diffuser tube of the mine local fan are collected by using the high precision pressure transmitter. Using the method of static pressure difference to calculate the air flow and air pressure. It not only avoid the engineering problem such as invalidation of the air flow measuring device caused by blocking of the pitot tube, but also the measuring accuracy of the system could be improved. Hardware circuit includes power circuit, data acquisition and amplifying circuit, LCD interfacing circuit, signal output circuit, alarm circuit and so on. Measuring system has function of real-time display of measuring data, also could convert measuring data to standard frequency signals and transfer the signals to upper computer though underground substation. IAR Embedded Workbench is used as the software developing platform for MSP430 single chip microcomputer. Almost all programs are written in C language, and using the method of program module designing. This paper introduces implementation methods and software flow of the module.Measuring system has many advantages such as smallness, using simple, convenient installation and high reliability, suitable for all kinds of mine local fans.
