The Technology of Progressive Cauity Pump, the use of the process in the field for various reasons, resulting in a pumping rod broken off, tubing broken off, pump leakage and other faults, which severely restricted the production of Progressive Cauity Pump wells, and caused great losses for oil field. Therefore, how to diagnosticate effective for the failure of the Progressive Cauity Pump, in order to facilitate and correct management for oil supervisor is a very important task. This article from test theory, test methods, test equipment such as the various test methods were introduced respectively, and 20 Progressive Cauity Pump wells were actually tested. Considering the advantages and disadvantages of various testing methods, a comprehensive analysis done with the current method, torquemoment method and the oil pressure, casing pressure change and the smooth rod is inverted (when the pump stops) so on, use of SW-YY Testing System of fluid level, and Doppler ultrasonic flowmeter, tracking and measuring the 1-9 month of 20 wells fluid level and flow data; through the current control system of the 20 wells to test and track voltage and current , measured current , flow and fluid level changes over time of the Progressive Cauity Pump, Failure to make accurate judgments.
