Study On The Special Coating Of Modern Furniture

With the improvement of living standards and the pursuit of fashion, art furniture is developing rapidly. Special coating is also a good way, however, there is few study about it. This paper is just working on it.There are many kinds of special finishing, such as crackle-simulated coating, wood-grain-simulated coating, marble-texture-simulated coating and so on. This thesis is based on practicing and experimental analysis, to get the advantages and disadvantages about special coating. It also takes market as the orientation, so as to analyze the influence factors of crackle-simulated coating. In order to make some resources for the furniture with crackle-simulated coating, the paper makes some market questionnaires about this coating on purpose.Through data compilation, experimental research, expert interviews, questionnaire survey and many other methods, this thesis draws the following conclusions:1. Special coating furniture is not in common for consumer, and crackle- simulated coating is the most one of it. However, about 40 percent of the respondents haven't seen or not noticed it, so the market is very wide to be broadened.2. According to the experimental research, the performance of all special coatings is up to the national standard, and crackle-simulated coating is worse than other special coatings on surface paint adhesion, hardness and performance. So the furniture company should be combined with these factors when they design and produce, for example, using it in the area which is not often touched or hit.3. According to the investigation,more than 60% of respondents like the crackle-simulated coating furniture and the crackle-simulated coating is more acceptable in local application.4. Crackle-simulated finishing can be combined with painting arts. This surface decoration techniques is full of fashion and grace, whose acceptance is close to 70% in the research.Meanwhile,more people like painting with the base of white and black color .5. Through computation of the calculation,the cost of the crackle-simulated finishing is relativitily high and the construction is difficult. The cracked pattern has a good vision, so people should consider the market orientation and layout while doing furniture design.6. Crackle-simulated finishing is environment-friendly, but the cost is relatively high, and so on.This paper is to explore the new decoration research. Meanwhile, it is also the promotion for furniture art decoration. Hopefully, it can infuse new blood into the furniture design.
