Study On Herman·E·Daly's Ecological Thought

Herman·E·Daly (the "Daly") is a famous American economist, and he established another new theoretical framework on the research of ecological economy and sustainable development ,different from the traditional theories. He made outstanding contributions to research in this field. His ecological thinking includes three aspects: ecological and economic theory, ecological and eco-ethics and political theory, in which ecological and economic theory is the main content of Daly's ecological ideas.This paper adopted the methods of literature analysis and comparison and so on to study Daly's ecological thinking.This article composed of six parts, the main contents of each part are as follows: introduction section describes Daly's life, major works and research status, the second chapter describes the process of Daly's ecological ideas, the third chapter discusses the ecological economy theories, ecological ethics and political theory, followed by a chapter on the evaluation of Daly's ecological thinking, the main contents of Chapter V describes the enlightenment of Daly's ecological thinking to the construction of environment-friendly society in our country, and the last part is conclusion.Ecological economy thought is the core ecological ideas in Daly's research, in addition, ecological and eco-ethics and political theory are other important parts of his ecological component. In this paper, these two parts are also made a detailed study in order to get a comprehensive understanding and reflection of Daly's ecological thought.On this basis, the paper's made a comprehensive evaluation on Daly's ecological thought.Daly did not only study the construction of theoretical system of the ecology and sustainable development of the economy , but also tightly integrated his ecological and economic and sustainable development practices, focusing on the systematic, profound and practice operational of organic unity. The last part of this paper figures out the reasonable elements in the application to construction of environment-friendly society in China, so as to help guide and promote China's sustainable development strategy and policy development and improvement to some extent, and thus help promote the ecological, economic and social coordinated development, finally achieve the goals of truly harmonious social development.
