The thesis is divided into four parts: The first Part is the reseach about chemical constituents of Hydnocarpus hainainanensis stem. The second part is the reseach about chemical composition of Antiaris toxicaria leaves. The third part described the pharmacological activity of Hydnocarpus hainainanensis and Antiaris toxicaria. The four part is the nutrition analysis of Hydnocarpus hainainanensis .In continuationg of search for bioactive constituents, a detailed separation and purifictaion using thin-layer chromatography (TLC), sigel column chromatography (CC), gel column chromatography (Sephadex LH-20), reverse phase cloumn chrom- atography (ODS) resulted in the isolation of 26 compounds from Hydnocarpus hainainanensis and Antiaris toxicaria, and the structures of 18 were determined by the analysis of the NMR (1HNMR, 13CNMR, DEPT, H-HCOSY, HMBC, HSQC and NOESY),MS (EIMS, FABMS, ESIMS, HRFABMS ) and IR spectrum .The cytotoxic activity of some compounds was tested by means of MTT.18 compunds were isolated from Hydnocarpus hainainanensis and 12 compunds were identified as Wogonin(1), Liquiritigenin(2), Sapinofuranone(3), (+)-yangabin(4), Coniferaldehyde (5), Mulberroside C(6), Mulberofuran G(7), Mulberofuran K(8), Morusin(9), Sitosterol (10), p-hydroxybenzoic acid(11),β-Daucosteral(12) in them. By the anticancer test, it could be concluded that compound 5 show the active in anti-liver cancar (SMMC-7721, 62.500μg/ mL) ,compound 5,7,9 show the active in anti-Chronic myelogenous leukemia (K562, IC50=.400-10.500μg/ml) and compound 5,7,9 show the active in anti-stomach (SGC-7901, IC50=1.600-62.000μg/ml).8 compunds were isolated from Antiaris toxicaria and 6 of these compunds were identified as (3S,5R,6S,7E,9R)-3,6-dihydroxy-5,6-dihydro-β-ionol(1), (5R)-4,5- Blumenol A (2), Quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(3), Narcissin(4), Kaempferide- 3-O-β-D glucoside (5), Epoxyconiferyl alcohol(6).The analysis of Hydnocarpus Hainansnsis nutrients showed that there are mineral elements, fiber, proteins, carbohydrates and vitamins includingβ-carotene. And at least 17 kinds of anionacid in Hydnocarpus Hainansnsis.
