Chapter 1:Cyclotriveratrylenes(CTV) derivatives are classified as aromatic compounds, They are important supramolecular hosts.This chapter first describes the structure of CTV derivatives.Then, the synthesis of simple CTV derivatives,complex CTV derivatives and hetero-CTV derivatives are introduced respectively. Moreover, molecular recognition and studying condition of these CTV derivatives are depicted.Chapter 2:Two kinds of CTV derivatives,2,7,12-triallyl-3,8,13-trimethoxy-10,15-dihydro-5H-tribenzo-[a d g] cyclononene (CTV-allyl derivative) and 2,7,12-tripropoxy-3,8,13-trimethoxy-10,15-dihydro-5H-tribenzo-[a d g] cyclononene (CTV-propyl derivative), are obtained from vanillin and vanillyl alcohol through substitution,reduction and trimerization reaction according to the precious report.2,7,12-trialkyl-3,8,13-trimethoxy-10,15-dihydro-5H-tribenzo-[a d g] cyclononene (CTV-alkyl derivative) is synthesized through the reaction between 2,7,12-trihydroxy-3,8, 13-trimethoxy-10,15-dihydro-5H-tribenzo-[a d g]cyclononene (CTV-hydroxy) derivative and bromide alkyl, which is obtained from 2,7,12-triethoxy-3,8,13-trimethoxy-10,15-dihydro-5H-tribenzo-[a d g] cyclononene (CTV-ethyl derivative).The structures of these derivatives are confirmed by 1H NMR. And the absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic properties of CTV derivatives in different organic solvents are studied, the results indicate that, excepting CTV hydroxyl derivative, UV spectra and fluorescent spectra of the other three CTV derivatives are not affected by polarity of the solvents because of their rigid structure.Chapter 3:The interaction between CTV-allyl derivative,CTV-propyl derivative and CTV-alkyl derivative and C60 are studied by UV-vis spectra, fluorescent spectra and CV. The results indicate that the complex of C6o and CTV-allyl derivative is more stable than the complex of C60and CTV-propyl derivative, but CTV-alkyl derivative can not combine C60 in its cavity. This may because that conjugatedπ-systems are formed between p-electron of allyl andл-electrons system of C60, which enhance the interaction between C6o and host molecule.And the reason for CTV-alkyl derivative can not combine C6o is alkyl assembling in the end of CTV-alkyl derivative, preventing C60 accommodating in the cavity of host.Chapter 4:The mechanisms of host-guest between CTV derivatives and C60 are analyzed through the data from previous chapter. The results show that the foundation of forming host-guest complex between CTV derivatives and C6o is C6 can accommodate in the cavity of host. Second, the electron-transition between host and C60 can enhance interaction between host and guest. Especially when the end of CTV derivative contains p-electron the host-guest complex is more stable.
