In this paper, the stability issues of the bottom upward press machine which is belong to the copper automatic packaging production line's dense station is analyzed and researched. The model of this press machine is created according to the phenomenon of skew load. By using the finite element software-ANSYS, the static, modal and dynamic response of the body is analyzed based on this model. In order to cut down the vibration and impact and to enhance the stability in the process of moving, as well as to extend the service life, the posts of body are optimized and researched in light of the analytic results.Firstly, the mechanical feature and working conditions of the bottom upward press machine is studied, and the finite element model of the body is created by use of ANSYS. From static analysis, the maximum deformation and stress distribution are defined under the action of skew load, and the static rigidity of the posts is checked as well.Secondly, according to the finite element model of this body, the modal analysis of it is done. The first 10 natural frequencies and mode shapes are list to determine the vibration characteristics of the structure by the method of Lanczos, and to laid the foundation for other dynamic analysis.Thirdly, on the basis of modal analysis, dynamic response analysis of the body is made. According to the harmonic response analysis, the steady response of the structure is determined by applying the load which is changed under the laws of sine and the harmonic response curves were obtained under the exciting forces from different direction. All of these provide the theory basis for the future design. By the transient dynamic analysis of the structure, the displacement, velocity and acceleration response curves with time under the impulsive load are gotten, which provide the theory basis for adjusting the parameters of the work condition for the press.Finally, the parameterization model of the press is build by using ANSYS parametric design language APDL. Regarding the post'radius of press as the Design variables to optimize by First-order method, the optimal solutions according with the range of application are obtained from the optimal results. The optimal solutions provide a certain theoretical basis for the design of the press.
