Polyvinyl chloride(PVC) is usually polymerized by vinyl chloride monomer. Because of good acid resistance, alkali resistance and mechanical strength, it has a large amount of demand, more than 10 million tons every year in recent years. Soft PVC is made by PVC added plasticizer.After being filled with modifying agent, the physical properties such as break strength, cold-resistance are increased, soft PVC is widely used in many products and equipments. Soft PVC modified by anti-static agent and flame retardant are widely used in petroleum, natural gas, coal, military and other special areas, and effectively prevent the disasters caused by the polymer materials and equipment's static electricity.The provision of 7.2.1 in the national standard GB12158-2006: The materials' surface resistivity and body resistivity should below 108? and 106?·m in explosive environments. Whereas, the surface resistivity of the conveyor belt, hairdryer and other anti-static materials is about 1011? used in many coal mine, is 3 orders of magnitude higher than the national standard. Although this material is anti-static electricity processed, is still the static electricity disaster's hidden danger. In this article, the technology and process about the soft PVC modification by flame-retardant and nano-filler are introduced, the anti-static electricity modified by the self-made permanent antistatic agent and the ordinary carbon black added to soft PVC as the opposite experiment, master the traditional filling process, learn the ratio of filler and the average price, obtained their respective anti-static targets which they can achieve. Focus on the process and mechanism of the soft PVC's anti-static and anti-igniting modification with nano-materials. Processing of nano-particles surface treatment, the mechanism and effect of nano-particles coated with coupling agent. The ratio and size of nano-particles with the material surface resistivity and body resistivity, the tribology principles of nano-filler are studied, strictly control of rubber refining time, temperature, shear force and other methods to control the effect of positive temperature coefficient (PTC effect) and the effect of negative temperature coefficient (NTC effect), the flame-resistant performance is enhanced effectively by the halogen-stibium and the halogen-boron assisting effect. Rubber, nano-CaCO3, nano-ZnO were added and the vulcanization process was used to improve the mechanical properties. Innovations in this paper: To select nano byproduct CB of petrochemical to replace expensive nano-CB, to fill proper amount of potter clay, to reduce the cost of product by optimizing the ratio of flame retardant. To prevent the pollution by the coating the nano particles twice, provides a good environment for the experiment and the production.Through the above technology, the sample is tested by the State Labor Protection Products Quality Supervision and Testing Center, at a temperature of 20℃, relative humidity of 40%, surface resistivity is 2.4×105?, body resistivity is 1.3×103?, reference GB/T5455-1997 inspection, continued burning and smoldering time of 0 seconds, the mechanical performance is obviously improved. After 100 hours water-soaked, antistatic and anti-igniting properties are no obviously change. At the same time, samples are tested by scanning electron microscopy in Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, nano-particles is fine network structure in the polymer, which is the reason for that the material has excellent anti-static properties .
