| Microwave heating is a heating method based on the material's dielectric dissipation. Compared with conventional sintering methods, this method takes on essential difference when it is applied in ceramic and the ceramic coating sintering. It owns the feature of rapid heating, outstanding distribution temperature field, lower sintering temperature, saving the sintering time, reducing energy consumption and improving the ceramic materials microstructure and macroscopic performance.In this paper, the principle of selecting the ceramic coating is firstly proposed according to microwave sintering theory, we have prepared three group of Metal Ceramic Coating in 45 # steel substrate by Microwave sintering method through changing the composition and content. In the process of sintering preparation, we finally determine the water leakage glass is the best cementing agent based on the test results and comparative analysis. Ultimately, we use X-ray analysis (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and other experimental methods and analytical method to systematically study the coating preparation process, organizational structure, coating hardness and adhesion strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance and so on. The conclusion can be drawn as below:The experiment result indicates as to sintering and preparation metal ceramic coating in the microwave field, temperature rises extremely fast and sintering time is extremely short. SEM results show that ceramic coating is quite Uniform and dense, without clear boundaries, between the interface as well as the coating and the substrate, it has formed a good metallurgical and mechanical combination in the contact surface, the coating and the substrate union are good. The bonding strength experiments of coating show that metal-ceramic coating and the substrate have a good combination of strength. Besides, adding Mo can improve the metal-ceramic coating and the substrate bonding strengthHardness test results show that the hardness of the coating is 3-5 times higher than that of the substrate, but the distribution of hardness is to some extent dispersive; Wear test results show that the metal-ceramic coating will significantly improve the wear resistance of the substrate in the same experimental conditions, Corrosion test results show that internal coating can prevent corrosion medium and the substrate to penetrate, improving the corrosion resistance of the substrate; Thermal shock tests show that metallic ceramic coatings own good capability of thermal shock resistance, which indicates that Mo ingredient can improve the thermal shock resistance performance of the coating.To sum it up, Metal Ceramic Coating in Microwave field is a feasible, innovative, efficient, and energy-saving method, indicating that applying the microwave technique to the preparation ceramic coating is a brand new ceramics Surface Technology. |
