Rotary kiln is the core equipment that is often used to heat bulk or slurry material in metallurgy, non-metallic minerals, building materials, refractories and other industrial operation。Its state can direct run impact on the economic in the enterprises。Rotary kiln have 3 major components:the kiln shell, support equipment, transmission equipment, the cylinder long-term work in heavy duty, high temperature harsh environments, subject to various factors, it is easy to operate kiln axis of the bending, in turn lead to lining brick off, triggering the "red kiln" accident,so the measurement of rotary axis has been one of Rotary's main objective measurement。This article analyzed the causes of rotary axis bending,and put forward a system of rotary kiln axis measurement by comparing the domestic and international method of rotary axis measurement:mechanical devices, a set of the data acquisition and processing procedures, control procedures,circuit systems, and human-machine interface design based on Labview and so on.The equipments of the system main include:horizontal and vertical displacement sensors, wireless digital scale, target, periodic sensors, remote control, wireless data transmission modules, wireless MCU control module, stepper motor, laser theodolite, level gauge, the measuring host and other equipments. The data of the horizontal displacement sensor is transmitted by wireless transmission, so the sensor can be easily controlled.Through the measurement of kiln tyre,the handheld computer get the data,then processing data by the LabVIEW software can work out the coordinates of rotation center and the kiln deflection curve,help us to know the situation of the working rotary kiln easily.The mainly used of MCU in control stepping motor, remote control to complete the accurate location of target of horizontal measurement instrument, so it has a series of advantages of simple controling, accurate positioning, a self-locking feature and so on. The positioning system consists of horizontal Wireless Digital Scale, stepping motor, drive control circuit, remote control, etc.. Positioning first of all by the remote control A, C respectively, the stepper motor control of continuous advances and retreats, drag the target to reach the position near the specified location, then control the B, D precise to step the step motor advances and back,so as to achieve the purpose of accurate positioning, and finally sent the location data of ruler cursor to the handheld computer.Via the further study of MCU technology and virtual instrument technology, the control circuit and the data transmission and processing a lot of work, Basically completed the module's design:based on labview wireless data communication module and PC-Serial communication module, data processing and storage module, stepping motor of the module, and completed the design of human-computer interaction panel.The axis measurement system mainly use the technology of wireless control, the wireless data transmission, so it can be operated effectively.
