In this article, intermediate with antioxidation function was grafted onto hyper branched polymer, based on dendrimer end groups can make functional group conversion. Through the hydrolysis and halogen replacement reaction, the intermediateβ-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydro- xyphenyl)propionyl chloride was synthesized fromβ-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydr-oxyphenyl) propionate. Then by the method of acylation, intermediate was introduced into molecular skeleton, synthesizing the new broom style phenolic antioxidant. The effects of solvents, acid binding agent, temperature, raw material ratio and reaction time were investigated, and the most suitable conditions for the reaction are as follows: chloroform as solvent, triethylamine as acid binding agents, the ratio of 2.5:1, addingβ-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphen )propionyl in ice-water bath, and reacting 12h at the constant temperature of 40℃. The product was characterized by elemental analysis and IR, and the results have preliminary proved the correctness of its structures. The antioxidant properties of broom style antioxidant were evaluated, using LLDPE(7402) and PP(T30S) as matrix and antioxidant 1010, 1076, 1098 as a reference objects. It is suggested that the broom style antioxidant had excellent oxidation resistance and processability in LLDPE(7042) and PP(T30S) of single use. But it had decreased antioxidant property when remixed with antioxidant 168. Compared with the properties of antioxidants 1010, 1076 and 1098, It shows that different resins use different compounded systems to achieve the best results. By comparing antioxidant activities of the antioxidant 1098, broom-type antioxidant and trifurcated structure antioxidant, the number of antioxidant groups, antioxidant structure and propety of resin will affect the antioxidant activity.
