| PTT fiber develop rapidly, has became one of top developed fiber material in the recent years, it has high elasticity,good elastic recovery and soft feel. Compared with the PET fiber, PTT fiber has significant ease of dyeing, and the dyeing color shows bright. Its products have many advanced features, such as anti-UV,chlorine-resistant,stain-resistant,easy maintenance and so on.The surface of PTT is modified by low plasma treatment for wettability in this paper. The surface treatment is carried out in two different methods about low plasma activation treatment, low plasma initiated graft polymerization respectively, and the treatment affect of samples are studied.Through the related performance tests of original material and low plasma modify samples, the involved treatment parameters of all methods above are studied systematically including working gas, plasma power, treating time, treating pressure etc. Moreover, IR,SEM and DSC are used to characterize the surface properties of the samples such as chemical composition and morphological structure. The wettability of the samples are determined by surface contact angle instrument.The results show that certain polar groups are introduced onto the surface of samples by two different methods of surface modification treatment above, the film hydrophilicity is improved. The charge rule of modification effort of samples vary with the treatment parameters. The contact angle of the samples decrease with increasing plasma power, treating pressure, treating time and grafting degree. After low plasma treating samples and induce samples grafting polymerization, the PTT fiber introduces hydrophilic group successfully by IR analysis. The etching trace on the surface of PTT fiber is showed through SEM. The DSC test results show that the hot stability of modification PTT fiber increase little. The effect of low plasma of PTT fiber decrease with time pasting, but the samples after graft polymerization keep the effect better, and the hydrophilic condition and lower temperature is good for keeping the effect of low plasma. |
