| Aiming at the present problems existing in the training process of the fixture assembly, this paper completes the drill fixture assembled virtually by virtual reality technology. The feasibility and the principles of the virtual assembly are firstly analyzed. Meanwhile, the key technologies for modeling and driving the virtual scenes are also studied. Then, the method for developing a virtual assembly platform of drill jig based on UG, 3DSMAX and VIRTOOLS is put forward. Besides, the twelve-hole rotary drill jig for gear shifting sleeve is taken as an example to show the detailed process of developing the virtual assembly platform. The result shows that the platform presented in this paper can also be applied to other fixtures. Moreover, it can make designers optimize the design and shorten the develop cycle according to the problems in the operating process. Still, it can also make the trainees aware of the fixture structure and improve the training effect. |
