As the emergence and application of lightweight, high strength engineering plastics, and conservation of raw materials, manpower and energy, and the urgent demand of improving processing efficiency and product quality, it has been accepted and widely applied that bonding technology replaced the assembly and processing of mechanical connection. According to the supply and demand conditions of adhesives market, and the needs of economic development, the future developed direction of adhesives is mainly environment friendly, high performance and high value-added. Among them, the development of epoxy adhesive is a hot spots.Epoxy acrylate adhesive has been widely used in the preparation of adhesives, coatings and paint industries because of its high cure speed, good wetting of the substrate, good miscibility with other resins, high gloss of curing coatings, excellent chemical resistance properties and raw material easy to get cheaper. However, there are some shortcomings of brittleness and poor weather of epoxy acrylate. In order to improve the competitiveness of epoxy adhesive in this study, using acrylic prepolymer to modified epoxy acrylate, and the organic boron-amine complex as the initiator, then a colorless, two-component acrylic epoxy adhesive is prepared which is good, pollution-free and can bond low surface energy materials.In this paper, epoxy acrylate, poly methyl methacrylate and boron-amine complex were synthesized first. Epoxy acrylate and acrylic acid as the component A, poly methyl methacrylate and boron-amine complex as the component B. In the end, two-component epoxy acrylic adhesive was finished.The results showed that: (1) The epoxy acrylate can be synthesized under such conditions that n( O ):n(-COOH)=1:1.05, T=110℃, t=6.5h and the amount of styrene accounted for 20% of the total raw materials. (2) The poly methyl methacrylate can be synthesized under such conditions that T=80~90℃, t=3.5h and the viscosity was about 30s. (3) The boron-amine complex can be synthesized under such conditions that C(BFEE)= 0.5 M·L-1, T=20~30℃and t=0.5h. (4) When the gel time was controlled between 7 min and 10 min, the quality ratio of organoborane amine complex and AA was from 1:0.2 to 1:0.4, the total mass fraction of organoborane amine complex and AA was 1.5%.In the end, the properties of adhesive were measured. The shear strength of bonding ABS plastic substrate was the largest, its substrate fracture. There was little effect on the shear strength of metal substrate surface treatment or not, and bonding the metal plate snowflake, cathode electrophoresis plate and anode electrophoresis plate whose surface were untreated, the shear strength reached respectively 1.95 MPa, 9.93 MPa and 5.38 MPa. The storage time of adhesive was more than half a year at room temperature.
