| Magneto-optical glasses were an important functional material which widely used in some magneto-optical devices such as optical islators,optical switches,magneto-optic modulators, laser gyroscopes.However,one of the most important factors-the temperature effect were a restrictive aspect for the further applications of magneto-optical glasses.In this paper, Magneto-optical glasses CG-13 which had a low temperature dependence of verdet constant were successfully prepared by doping Tb3+ in diamagnetic glasses.In this paper,a testing equipment had been designed and bulided to measure verdet constant of magneto-optical glasses at different wavelength and temperature.The verdet constant of glasses Tb26,CG-13and CG-14 were measured at different wavelength(532nm, 650nm,780nm and 808nm) and different temperature(25℃,45℃,65℃and 85℃).The experimental results showed that theΔV/V value of Tb26 and CG-13 glasses were about -0.325%/℃and 6.9×10-5/℃~1.05×10-4/℃respectively.For CG-14 glass,itsΔV/V value were 2.4×10-4℃~3.15×10-4℃which were 3~4 times more than CG-13. |
