Abstract/Summary:
Thin-layer heat insulation coating could effectively reflect the solar rays from the surface of the coated object. This coating should decrease the temperature in the internal without power and other external energy and it has the advantage in which it could no longer require any cooling equipments. Therefore, it has a significant economic benefit,environmental benefit and social benefit on having a study and exploitation of the thin-layer heat insulation coating.In this thesis, styrene-acrylic emulsion modified by organic fluorine was synthesized and had better water resistance and stability by the emulsion polymerization. Thin-layer heat insulation coating with better thermal insulation was prepared successfully using the rutile titanium dioxide and colored hollow ceramic micro-beads as the filler. Then, the performance of thermal insulation was evaluated preliminarily by self-designed device.The study showed that styrene-acrylic emulsion and fluor-modified styrene-acrylic emulsion could be synthesized using St, BA, AA, MMA and G02 as the monomer in the presence of SDS and OP-10 compound emulsifier initiated by APS.It had better thermal insulation properties to use the colored hollow-ceramic micro bead as fillers than rutile titanium oxide. It has 5.6℃temperature difference between the blank sample and the coating sample filled with rutile titanium oxide (33wt%); It has 5.9℃temperature difference between the blank sample and the coating sample filled with colored hollow-ceramic micro bead (9wt%). Using colored hollow-ceramic micro bead as fillers, the effect of filler color on thermal insulation property of coating became worse as the color tone became deeper. The thermal insulation property of the coating modified by organic fluorine was better than the polystyrene-acrylate emulsion one, whatever rutile titanium oxide or colored hollow-ceramic micro bead was used as the filler. The maximum temperature difference reached to 1.1℃. When the content of color hollow ceramics micro bead was less, the thermal insulation performance became better as the coating times increased. But when the usage of color hollow ceramics micro bead increased continuously, the thermal insulation performance decreases gradually.
