Study On Design And Method Of The Serialized Pattern For Men's Clothing

This paper is guided by the TPO knowledge system, combined with analyzing the relative cases of the international brands, to sum up the design features and laws of men's wear. What's more, it discusses a rational, objective, market-oriented, and international men's serialized design methods, and develops the serialized style and pattern design with the method. As different types of clothing has various characteristics, the series of style design can be divided into four specific methods, such as"design of extended details","design of borrowing elements from other styles","design of the basic-type diverging","design of the whole style increasing"; the series of pattern combines the"one style with multiple patterns"with"one pattern with multiple styles". It not only stays on a simple technical level, but also explores the inner cultural meaning of the structure of clothing through the TPO knowledge system. The analysis of cases and design cover the suit, coat, outdoor coat, trousers, vest and shirt these six types of clothing, which are common used in the international industries, while they demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. The feasibility and scientificity of the serialized design method are also fully tested. Using the characteristics and laws of TPO knowledge system to integrate the method of style and pattern serialized design has a guiding value to the development of products, the market-oriented teaching for fashion majors and international innovation of theory and practice.
