The machincal expanding is the key link in the high quality heavy-caliber straight seam submerged-arc welding tube production, the mechanical expanding mill design and the manufacture craft are complex, at the same time the Western countrys enforce the technical strict blockade to our country, at present our country still can't grasps the technique of manufacture of the large-scale mechanical expanding mill, for this view I take thorough research of the expanding mill design technique of manufacture,it will has a practical significance to the high quality heavy-caliber pipeline steel pipe production for our country.This article first calculates the strength and traveling schedule of the modelφ508×4mm straight seam welded pipe completely, which ellipticity is 5%, the material is X 70, 3% expanding rate of the diameter, from theoretically, and were divided the traveling schedule into four stage to distribute computation, which are expanding spatial traveling schedule,expanding entire round traveling schedule,expanding distortion traveling schedule,the compensation expanding snapping back traveling schedule,thus, determined the design variable of the expanding power part (piston cylinder); Take the value simulation as the method, and use the monodromy cyclic method to determine the valuable design variable scope of the expanding executive component mold (the head of the expanding), take the residual stress and the ellipticity of expands the diameter the unfinished piping as the goal, useing the orthogonal experiment method to analysis and obtain the mold parameter optimum composition extremely.This article design the assembly drawing and the detail drawing of the experimental equipment, completed the design of the hydraulic system which is high and low pressure double pump feeded, five speed change, the high-pressured overflow to keep press, completed the design of the electricity control system. Using the finite element software《I-DEAS》,《MARC》to two kind of experimental installations which designed carry on analysing to modelling and value simulation, and study distortion and the equivalent stress strain distribution condition of the various key components, and carry on the plan contrast.The result indicated that,using the T chute 6°cone the design proposal to be amore superior.This article made and assemble the machincal expanding equipment for experiment of vertical pipe end.
