At present, the environmental management system and occupational health and safety systems more and more emphasize on organization. Implementation of integrated management systems is considered to be most effective and has become a trend. In the implementation of integrated environmental management system and occupational health and safety system, identification, evaluation and control of the environmental factors and hazard sources is the focus of the work. In the existing literature, more are focusing on the individual environmental factors and hazard sources assessment. However, the methods in the literatures are usually complex, and their adaptability is quite limited. The integrated system of how to effectively identify and evaluate environmental factors and hazard sources were not the main concern and accordingly lack details. In this paper, based on the requirements of the integrated management system, the identification and evaluation of the activities of the organization and management control program were established. The factors have been identified. Evaluation methods and their applicability of strengths and weaknesses were compared and analyzed, with consideration of the standards and the requirements of organizations in the activities of the complicated process. The study identified the main factors through combination of analysis process and observation method. It also established methods for evaluation of the identified factors based on checklist method and multi-factors method. Correspoding control methods were used for different class of factors. The control was proved to be effective. This method is closely compliant with the requirements of integrated environmental management system and occupational health and safety system. The identification method is simple and easy to use, the evaluation results were reasonable, and the control measures were effective. Based on the above method, Company H has successfully passed the third-party certification. This study may be also a reference to other organizations to identify factors, evaluate factors and control the factors for integrated system.
