The wetland is the highest ecological value type among the global ecosystems. The wetland, with the unique structure and function, has the huge ecological, economical and the social functional benefit. Healthy wetland ecosystem is not only an important part of the ecological security system in the country, but also a foundation of the economic society's sustainable development. Due to poor quality of China's ecological environment, it has low forest coverage and a lot of environmental problems because of man-made and natural factors. Therefore it is an urgent issue how to reasonably develop and protect the wetland resources, coordinate relationship between human activity and wetland ecological environment protection, promote harmonious coexistence between man and nature.At present, the wetland's environment issue and ecology consequence is mainly the vegetation destruction, which causes the material input to enlarge in the wetland catchment's area, water quality of the wetland to deteriorate, sedimentation to accumulate. It seriously affects the function of the wetland. So the arid land ecosystems of the wetland is the root of the wetland system's environmental problem. Therefore how to reasonably develop and use the arid land ecosystems is the basis to solve the wetland's environment problem. Thus, carrying out the investigation of land use/vegetation distribution of the arid land ecosystems may provide the useful policy-making basis for wetland's ecological environmental protection, resource management and so on. So that policy makers can take the effective measures to govern and protect the wetland ecological environment, to realize the sustainable development.Remote sensing technology has many advantages of macroscopic, comprehend- sive, massive information, quick acquisition and better comparability. It is an effective way in real time monitoring resources environment of wetland.,it was used for investagation and recognition of wetland resource widely.This article selected Lugu lake wetland as study area, carried out investigation, analysis and research of the ecological environment of the study area, especially the type, the area and the distribution of land use and vegetation distribution, based on multi-source remote sensing images, with the geographic information system technology, combined with the surface observation data synthesis processing analysis, provided wetland's ecosystem and biodiversity background data information. It provided the scientific basis for the wetland's protection, wetland's reasonable utilization and wetland's restoration. The main research contents and results are as following:(1) Choice multi-source remote sensing images and Access to basic data.(2) Studied the remote sensing image enhancement, geometrical correction preparation, band selection, image fusion and image enhancement after merging, provided the method and technology to the investigation of the current status of wetland resources land utilization by the SPOT5 panchromatic and the SPOT5, ASTER multi-spectra remote sensing phantoms.(3) Carried out the land utilization's remote sensing interpretation by the SPOT5 panchromatic and the SPOT5 multi-spectrum fusion images, carried out the vegetation distribution's remote sensing interpretation by the SPOT5 panchromatic and the ASTER multi-spectrum fusion images, analyzed the ecological environment influence of the land utilization/vegetation distribution current situation to the Lugu lake from the angle of unreasonable land utilization/vegetation's distribution destroying the ecological environment, and put forward the proposals to Lugu lake wetland's ecological environment's reasonable development, utilization and protection.(4) Analyzed the distribution situation of the arid land in the different graded; According to the arid land in different graded distribution whether to destruct ecological environment, analyzed the arid land distribution present situation to the Lugu lake ecological environment influence and put forward the proposals to Lugu lake wetland's ecological environment's reasonable development, utilization and protection...
