With the advance into the middle and later periods of an oilfield development, formation pressure drops and the proportion of mechanical oil production grows to a great deal. Most of the oilfield at home and abroad commonly adapt triple pumping instrument. But with the new technique application such as cluster well, directional well and horizontal well, high-sand-content well and heavy oil well are increasing obviously, thus large serious problems have been caused for rod oil pumping machinery. With the help of the features and advantages of rodless progressive cavity pumping unit, it has been more and more highlighted in oilfields. Electric submersible progressive cavity pump (PC pump) is one kind of new type rodless oil pumping instrument with the integrated merits of PC pump and electric submersible pump. It is mainly developed in this article and its high-efficiency unit has been designed. This oil producing system is composed of downhole part and surface part, the former is made up of quadripole electric submersible motor and its protector, decelerator and its protector and PC pump; the latter is divided into frequency converter, transformer, and patch board and so on.The structure design and stress analysis of this new type matched unit have been studied and developed in the paper. Through laboratory test and the field test of the sample machine, the unit performance have been tested. This new high-efficiency pump is designed by mechanical form, its tress condition when working is analyzed by dynamic method and its actual operation performance is discussed in the test. The experimental data have been provided for the relative matched unit and the design possesses important theoretical value for the realization of batch production of this new matched unit.With the help of the design advantages of bipolar motor, high-efficiency matched quadripole motor has been developed. Double suction pump is adapted in the PC pump so as to balance the axial force of the rotor. The integrated even load structure between sun-shaped wheel and planet-formed support floatations in the structure of decelerator. This new structure can reduce uneven load coefficient, increase load capacity, lower down the noise and enhance the stability and reliability of unit operation. High-efficiency and long-life electric submersible PC pump unit is developed at last.
