According to the development of modern industrial technology, mechanical transmission need satisfy the requirement of high speed, high efficiency and low noise. The quality and precision of gear machined have been the key influencing mechanical transmissional performance. Therefore, modem mechanical development need the hard face gears with high bearing capacity, teeth surface hardness, resisting corrosive pitting high precision, low teeth surface roughness, Free Hobbing-shaving principle of Harden Gear will be studied in this paper.This paper regards Hobbing and shaving for harden gears as the research object. And Free Hobbing-shaving of Processing method was proposed. It is that cutted gear driven by Hobbing-shaving cutter carry out backlash-free meshing movement , And complete cutting in motion at the same time. A new Hobbing-shaving Cutter suitable for Free Hobbing-shaving was designed On the basis of the ordinary Hobbing-shaving Cutter. In order to meet the needs of a free rolling shaving, The Hobbing machine table is Transformed.Based on the Principle of gear meshing , The mathematical model of Free Hobbing-shaving was established . the mathematical model of Hobbing-shaving Cutter tooth surface and gear tooth surface was Anslyzed Simulatiy in space by MATLAB software. Which obtained space image in mesh point. At the geometry parameters of Hobbing-shaving cutter, tooth shape design etc. respects, The paper have carried on research. Through the analysis of cutting speed on the pitch, A larger angle between the slip velocity of Hobbing-shaving Cutter'cutting edge and tooth profile . Therefore cutting speed fast, and small cutting forces. But tooth profile sliding movement made the friction intensified and A significant amount of heat produced , In order to improve the accuracy surfaces of the gear and life of the hobbing-having cutter , The process must be pouring hot cutting oils. coincidence formula of Hobbing-shaving Cutter processing gear was derivated. Finally, The dynamic Simulation of Process of the hobbing machine are analyzed and optimized by ADAMS, and Free Hobbing-shaving principle is validated.
