Study On The Legal Matter Of Movie And Television Photography And Environmental Protection Of China

On May 9, 2006, Qiu Baoxing, vice-minister of Ministry of Construction, has made the severe criticism to the event of environmental destruction caused by the dramatic team of "THE PROMISE" directed by Chen Kaige, which was the focus of the media and public. Along with the exposure that the destruction made by the dramatic team of "THE PROMISE" to the Tianchi of Shangri-La, the action spread from "THE PROMISE" to other dramatic teams of movie and television photography and under this condition, many movie and television dramatic teams which destroyed the environment are disclosed. Originally, the movie and television photography is the cultural behavior; meantime, the movie and television can be the carrier which adopted by various countries and different nationalities to express and communicate their own national culture, such as the gorgeous nature scenery and the rich and energetic culture life. However, it will never be forgiven at the cost of sacrificed environment to gain the commercial interest, which is against with the basic policies of environmental protection of China.The research on the relation between movie and television photography and environmental protection has its practical significance, which will arouse the attention to the laws and regulations in the aspects of environmental protection for the movie and television photography. It is very important and necessary to formulate culture business and guarantee its sustainable development, i.e., the actions driven by commercial interest will be in accord with the environmental protection. The photography of movie and television is harmless to the environmental and the entire business chain is healthy and we cannot be the killer of the natural environments. Additionally, some propaganda will be finished to draw the attention from the public and strengthen the idea of environmental protection, which will lay on a solid foundation to the maturity of the entire chain along with the development movie and television photography and the environmental protection. The consciousness of environmental protection lies in not only each citizen's right, but also the duty that each one should do; there is a long way to go for achieving the goal.It isn't an accidental event that the movie and television photography made to the destruction of natural environments. Actually speaking, it is, for dramatic team, related to the disregard to the ecological environmental protection. It also reflects the weakness and loss of laws to our environmental protection; therefore, the necessity that environmental protection should be pointed out and analyzed deeply based on the background of movie and television photography in this paper. Through the comparison and investigation of movie and television photography and environmental protection borrowed from other developed countries, the research on movie and television photography and environmental destruction in our country will be done in this paper, which will give reasonable suggestion on the legislation and environmental protection through the analysis and comparison.
