With the development of science technology and social economy, the abundance on materials makes people pay more attention to their sentiment. Product design has been diversified, and affection design, which is based on people's deep affection needs and spiritual demands, has become a kind of new design thought. Therefore, how to understand basic theories of affection design and make use of affection design thought in modern product design, have become to resolve urgently the problems of product design nowadays.This thesis briefly conclude germination, form, developing and diversity periods of furniture , which is seen a kind gist of picture selected and analyse furniture form and esthetic trait of furniture product . It is hoped that the concrete methods of furniture Kansei design can be find through the analysis of Kansei engineering theories and the discussion of outstanding examples in domestic and abroad. So that it is exactly the innovation of this thesis also.On the experiment of the research, in former three stage: frequency analyses, principium statistical analyses, semantics differential methods ,cluster analyses methods and factor analyses methods for selecting representative furniture samples and representative image words, creating the form elements table of furniture. In the stage four, a questionnaire survey by semantics differential methods was carried out. Form the analytic result of Quantification Type I; we can establish the rules about product form underlying the consumer's preference image. Finally the results of the T inspection show that the rule is possible to implement.The research, taking the furniture as a case, uses Kansei Engineering switching the consumer's stable sensitivity cognizance into quantification. What the research purpose is: exploring the relation between form elements and Kansei image of the consumer's, probing into the difficult in design process-human Kansei factor is hard to control, then help designer to design the products conform to the consumer's feeling demand.
